Summary | 0000984: sata_uli devicel driver request
Description | The description is, it seems I like retro computing... I left a more discursive description with bug 16971 on CentOS bug tracker Please could a driver for the above sata_uli be custom rolled? Thank you.
Additional Information | https://bugs.centos.org/view.php?id=16971 It looks like nvidia bought out ALI/ ULI some time back and keep some antique source here: https://download.nvidia.com/ULi/ULi_SATA%20RAID_Linux_%20v0.9p.zip

Acknowledged. We will publish it to the testing repo when it's ready. Do you also need a DUD image? |
The following files/packages have been built and will be syncing to our mirror sites: DUD dd-sata_uli-1.3-1.el8_1.elrepo.iso dd-sata_uli-1.3-1.el8_1.elrepo.SHA256SUM kmod (elrepo-testing repo) kmod-sata_uli-1.3-1.el8_1.elrepo.x86_64.rpm Please test and let us know if they work for you. |
Thank you - I'll follow up in the next day or two. M |

I can confirm this works. I seem to have had a bit of side issue with dnf, but I'm not sure that's relevant here. I know how to use dnf... $ sudo dnf install kmod-sata_uli-1.3-1.el8_1.elrepo.x86_64.rpm ELRepo.org Community Enterprise Linux Repository - el8 7.5 kB/s | 2.9 kB 00:00 ELRepo.org Community Enterprise Linux Testing Repository - el8 7.2 kB/s | 2.9 kB 00:00 Can not load RPM file: kmod-sata_uli-1.3-1.el8_1.elrepo.x86_64.rpm. I just noticed there's been kernel an upgrade to x86_64 4.18.0-147.5.1.el8_1.centos.plus but I guess this didn't get into that as I've only just replied? |
I stand corrected, I see it has gone into 4.18.0-147.5.1.el8_1.centos.plus.x86_64 Thank you |
kernel-plus--4.18.0-147.5.1.el8_1.centos.plus has SATA_ULI enabled (I updated the CentOS ticket). With your positive feedback, I will promote the kmod package to the main repo. |

You can specify the version-release. Just do not add the .rpm part. |
