| Description | It would be very useful to have the kernel-debuginfo package available alongside the elrepo kernel-ml packages. This is used for things like live kernel patching (ksplice etc...) | ||||
| Additional Information | In CentOS/RHEL7 this package can be found as per http://debuginfo.centos.org/7/x86_64/kernel-debuginfo-4.4.26-201.el7.centos.x86_64.rpm So you would install it as such: yum install kernel-debuginfo kernel-debuginfo-common Which on CentOS7 / RHEL7 would install the kernel-debuginfo for 3.10.x | ||||

Could you at least provide short instructions about building debuginfo packages for people who'd like to do it themselves? |

Unfortunately not. It's not simply a case of rebuilding with '--with debuginfo' as all the debuginfo related stuff was stripped out of the SPEC file(s) when these kernel packages were originally developed, and elrepo has no plans to change that. So if you want debuginfo packages then it's a complete rewrite of the package SPEC file(s).
