Description | Hello! I have Wacom Intuos Creative Pen & Touch (M) Tablet ("CTH-680S-N" / "CTH-680/S6-BX") [056a:0303]. According to Wacom wiki [0][1], support for this device was introduced with Linux 3.14. However, it is possible to install "input-wacom" kernel driver which contains backported support [2][3]. It works, but I am not sure if it is 100% correct. Could you provide this package in ELRepo repository? It seems to work ok (both pen and touch features). Notes: - Installation and uninstallation of this package take some time (about 3-4 minutes for installation/uninstallation on Core 2 Quad PC). I had the same "issue" with my original package. However, it's not a big deal. - The dmesg complains something about the Secure Boot Key (see: logs). However, I have BIOS-only PC - no (U)EFI at all. - The source tarball can be downloaded from SourceForge [URL] so you can use url in the "Source0" field ("Source0: https://downloads.sourceforge.net/linuxwacom/input-%{kmod_name}-%{version}.tar.bz2"). I have updated the kmod-wacom package and it is now available from the testing repo. Please note that I did not bump the EVR. Installation/uninstallation of kmod packages does take some time. There is nothing much we can do about it except giving some note during the install. You can safely ignore the secureboot-related message unless secure boot is enabled on your system. I added the "input-" back to the directory. I would rather not clutter "Source0". The URL has been updated to include the download site. |
