I did a deep dive into building a kmod for the OVPN module. I got everything to compile by overriding a few kernel headers (added missing OVPN enums and some other functions). Unfortunately the final stage of linking (i.e. modpost) was severely broken. It's unable to resolve some IPv6 static variables and functions because those symbols are not exported by the kernel. Currently the OVPN module can only be compiled as an in-tree module when you build the kernel itself. |

As noted in the linked issue 1588, kmod-ovpn for RHEL 10.1 is now available for testing. |
