| Description | I am trying to install a custom build of RHEL 8.8 and I need the megaraid_sas so it will detect the hard drive. I am using the dd-megaraid_sas-07.719.03.00-3.el8_8.elrepo.iso DUD found here: https://elrepo.org/linux/dud/el8/x86_64/ This DUD comes with the megaraid_sas.ko but only for kernel-4.18.0-477.10.1.el8_8.x86_64 and I need it for kernel-4.18.0-477.21.1.el8_8.x86_64 as that is the only kernel I have and will have. Can someone please make me a DUD disk for the megaraid_sas that will work with the kernel-4.18.0-477.21.1.el8_8.x86_64 kernel? Thanks! | ||||

It didn't work, but I think its because we actually needed the kernel-4.18.0-477.10.1.el8_8.x86_64 since that's the kernel anaconda sees, but then it installs kernel-4.18.0-477.21.1.el8_8.x86_64 in the OS. So I'm not sure. I think the issue is on our side. But we have decided to just upgrade to a newer server and get rid of the old one. So we are good. Thanks so much for your help.
