Summary | 0001393: kernel-lt-devel not providing kernel-devel
Description | It looks like the el9 kernel-lt-devel package does not have the kernel-devel provides that the el8 version had. This makes packages like zfs-dkms bring in the regular el9 kernel-devel package. el9: rpm -q --provides kernel-lt-devel installonlypkg(kernel) installonlypkg(kernel-lt) kernel-lt-devel = 6.1.58-1.el9.elrepo kernel-lt-devel(x86-64) = 6.1.58-1.el9.elrepo kernel-lt-devel-uname-r = 6.1.58-1.el9.elrepo.x86_64 kernel-lt-devel-x86_64 = 6.1.58-1.el9.elrepo el8: rpm -q --provides kernel-lt-devel installonlypkg(kernel) installonlypkg(kernel-lt) kernel-devel = 5.4.258-1.el8.elrepo kernel-devel-uname-r = 5.4.258-1.el8.elrepo.x86_64 kernel-devel-x86_64 = 5.4.258-1.el8.elrepo kernel-lt-devel = 5.4.258-1.el8.elrepo kernel-lt-devel(x86-64) = 5.4.258-1.el8.elrepo kernel-lt-devel-uname-r = 5.4.258-1.el8.elrepo.x86_64 kernel-lt-devel-x86_64 = 5.4.258-1.el8.elrepo

I have built a kernel-lt package set with the requested change. Could you give it a try and see if it work? https://elrepo.org/people/akemi/testing/el9/kernel/ $ rpm -q --provides kernel-lt-devel-6.1.59-1.ay1.el9.elrepo.x86_64.rpm installonlypkg(kernel) installonlypkg(kernel-lt) kernel-devel = 6.1.59-1.ay1.el9.elrepo kernel-devel-uname-r = 6.1.59-1.ay1.el9.elrepo.x86_64 kernel-devel-x86_64 = 6.1.59-1.ay1.el9.elrepo kernel-lt-devel = 6.1.59-1.ay1.el9.elrepo kernel-lt-devel(x86-64) = 6.1.59-1.ay1.el9.elrepo kernel-lt-devel-uname-r = 6.1.59-1.ay1.el9.elrepo.x86_64 kernel-lt-devel-x86_64 = 6.1.59-1.ay1.el9.elrepo |

I downloaded and it seems OK. At least it provides kernel-devel and allows zfs to install. I haven't tried to boot anything with it yet; this is just in a container. |

Thank you for the feedback. I'm closing this as resolved/fixed. However feel free to reopen if you find any issue. |
