I made a mistake when reporting the bug... it should be kernel/el8 instead of kernel/el9. Sorry for this. [EDIT: admin] Moved to el8. |

kernel-ml-6.1.9-1.el8.elrepo (Rocky Linux) also failed to boot on my laptop with "BPF: Invalid name" repeatedly displayed as in the initial report. |

A kernel-ml-6.1.9-2.el8.elrepo package set has been released which should resolve the experienced "fails to boot" problem. Please test and report back with your observations. |

Please note that it is 6.1.9-2 that has the fix, not 6.1.9-1. |

I just tested 6.1.9-2 and it's booting properly. # uname -r 6.1.9-2.el8.elrepo.x86_64 Thank you very much! |

Having now received reports, both public and private, that the kernel-ml-6.1.9-2.el8.elrepo package set [1] boots correctly on AlmaLinux 8, RHEL 8 and RockyLinux 8 I am satisfied that this problem has been resolved.
