| Summary | 0001312: Please add jfs support to Rocky kernel | ||||
| Description | I have Rocky 8.5 installed in a partition formatted with ext4 but I have some other partitions in my system that are formatted with jfs. It would be helpful to be able to access data on these partitions. I understand that there was a kmod-jfs for el6 and el7 but there doesn't appear to be one for el8. Most Linux distributions support jfs. | ||||

Looks like the last source version released is 1.1.15 (year 2011). Will build this for el8. |

I installed kmod-jfs and jfsutils and now I can access my jfs formatted partitions from Rocky. I tried the mkfs.jfs and fsck.jfs utilities and they work as expected. Thanks for the quick resolution. |
