| Description | The aic-79xx driver was present in the version 7 kernels but was removed in version 8. Creating a kernel module for this driver would provide support for the Adaptec Ultra320 SCSI adapters in general but specifically the ASC-29320LPE PCIe SCSI adapter. This adapter is important as it is one of very few PCI-e SCSI adapters that were supported in the version 7 kernels at a time when PCI slots are fast disappearing from motherboards. | ||||
