| Summary | 0001263: kmod-jme rebuild for el8_6 and el9_0 | ||||
| Description | The RPM kmod-jme does not appear to be rebuilt for el8_6, whereas all other kmods appear to have been. Can you please rebuild for el8_6 and el9_0 too? I have a co-worker bringing in an ASUS laptop with a JMicron JMC250 ethernet adapter and want to see if EL8 and EL9 work on it. | ||||

Acknowledged. BTW, the el8 package should be forward compatible with el8.6 - that is why it was not rebuilt - we only rebuild if the package breaks. Can you confirm if you have tried the latest package on el8.6? Thanks |

Further, I've just run our internal tests over kmod-jme-1.0.8-3.el8_4.elrepo.x86_64.rpm and it passes all our tests for kernel-4.18.0-372.26.1.el8_6.x86_64 That's normally a pretty good indication it doesn't require a rebuild, but obviously we are unable to fully test without the hardware so will rely on your feedback. I'll try and get an el9 package built and released for you over the weekend |

I have built kmod-jme-1.0.8-1.el9_0.elrepo.x86_64 for el9, and released it to the main elrepo repository. It should be available on mirror sites shortly. Please can you confirm if ot works as expected. Also please confirm if kmod-jme-1.0.8-3.el8_4.elrepo.x86_64.rpm works as expected on latest el8. Many thanks |
