| Description | Helo CentOS8 have removed support for the adapter Dell PERC5, PCI ID 0x1028:0x0015 from the megaraid_sas driver (and CentOS8 Stream). I not found suport in the drivers in ELrepo according http://elrepo.org/tiki/DeviceIDs Servers Dell 2950 whit this adapter SAS currently run CentOS 7 and need update. Exist possible solution? | Steps To Reproduce | When try installing CentOS 8 the installer not recognize virtual disk on raid, controler PERC 5/i. I not found driver in ELrepo for try option inst.dd | ||||

Device [1028:0015] is actually supported by the kmod-megaraid_sas package. However the DeviceID page was not up-to-date. This has been corrected. Please note that CentOS Stream is not supported by ELRepo. |

I greatly appreciate the support and clarification of my queries. I tested it on CentOS 8.5 and PERC5i was recognized (inst.dd and dd-megaraid_sas-07.717.02.00-1.el8_5.elrepo.iso). Have a nice day. Thanks. |
