| Description | Package kmod-sata_sis-1.0-4.el8_3.elrepo.rpm seem badly compiled/need to be updated When using with 4.18.0-240.10.1 kernel (current centos 8_3 version), dnf accept to install kmod package, but on reboot drive are not detected. Trying to rebuild initramfs with older (8.0) running kernel command dracut --kver 4.18.0-240.10.1.el8_3.x86_64 --force fail. | ||||
| Steps To Reproduce | Install lastest kernel (4.18.0-240.10.1.el8) Install/update kmod Reboot on new kernel -> not working From an older kernel : dracut --kver 4.18.0-240.10.1.el8_3.x86_64 --force Dracut will display "sata_sis not found" | ||||
| Additional Information | Seems to need a rebuild of the package only. I've managed to fix my probel by rebuilding the rpm from SRPM (just need to update the kernel-devel version to 4.18.0-240.10.1.el8_3). Additionnaly, no problem with package "pata_sis" | ||||

It looks like the kmod-sata_sis package needs to be rebuilt against the 4.18.0-240.10.1.el8_3 kernel. Will get to this shortly. |
