Summary | 0000629: Red Hat dropped support for my RAID card with RHEL7, I can't install
Description | I have a Highpoint RocketRaid 2680 which has worked seamlessly with the default kernel in all previous releases of RHEL, but it no longer works. I cannot get the vendor to build a driver, and the latest they support is 6.2. In the installation environment, the required gpp and perl packages are not available for me to be able to build the driver from source in the installation environment, and I don't have access to an EL7 machine to build the driver from. Would it be possible for ElRepo to package up support for this really nice and quite inexpensive RAID controller? I think really all I need is the .ko for the kernel that is used in the installation environment. Thank you for your consideration.
Additional Information | The driver source from the vendor is located here: http://www.highpoint-tech.com/BIOS_Driver/rr268x/linux/RR268x_Linux_Src_v2.1.1.0_14_02_24.tar.gz Which is taken from the following site: http://www.highpoint-tech.com/USA_new/rr2600_download.htm
