| Summary | 0001591: Realtek Wi-Fi 7 RTL8922AE | ||||
| Description | Hello, I just bought a motherboard with the RTL8922AE and installed RHEL9 with kernel-ml but the kmod is missing. CONFIG_RTW89_8922AE seems disabled in kernel-ml as well as kernel-lt. Is there any plan to add it? This wifi chip seems to be in several new motherboards. The module has been present since 6.10. kernel-ml is currently 7.0+. Regards | ||||

We will enable CONFIG_RTW89_8922AE in the next update for kernel-ml and kernel-lt. |
|
|
Thank you! |

CONFIG_RTW89_8922AE is now enabled in the latest update kernel-ml-7.0.10-1 (el8|el9|el10). The kernel-lt is too old to enable this driver. |

Thank you for the update. kzrnel-ml is enough, the new motherboards usually also have 2.5G ethernet chip that is also only in kernel-ml anyway. |
