| Description | In Kernel 6.16 RC, EDAC support has been added for a limited number of Alder Lake/Raptor Lake S SoCs (Only 4 variants, Raptor Lake i9/i7/i5 and Alder Lake i9): https://github.com/torvalds/linux/commit/180f091224a002f8bd1629307c34619a5626841e Requesting this updated driver to be added, but additionally add the following SoCs corresponding to Alder Lake i7 and i5 (reference to patch 11), which also supports ECC memory: https://github.com/kylemanna/arch-linux-lts/blob/km/edac/0011-EDAC-ie31200-Add-two-more-Intel-Alder-Lake-S-SoCs-fo.patch The added SoCs 0x4668 (e.g. 12700, 12700K) and 0x4648 (e.g. 12600K) also have ECC functionality when paired with the correct chipset, but seems like the focus is on Bartlett Lake at the moment. The ie31200.c is the only file that has changed/needs updating to enable this functionality. Thanks! | ||||

Just an update I saw: Seems like KyleManna (the author of the Arch patch) is attempting to mainline 0x4668 and 0x4648: https://lore.kernel.org/lkml/20250802060112.363506-1-kyle@kylemanna.com/ I'm not sure how it will impact this request; these will probably mainline after v6.16 |

The first commit you referenced ( https://github.com/torvalds/linux/commit/180f091224a002f8bd1629307c34619a5626841e ) is indeed in linux-6.16 that was released on 2025-07-27. Therefore it is in our kernel-ml-6.16.0 ( https://elrepo.org/people/toracat/devel/kernel-ml/el10/x86_64/RPMS/ ). The second commit ( https://lore.kernel.org/lkml/20250802060112.363506-1-kyle@kylemanna.com/ ) may make it into linux-6.17. The first -rc will be released upstream (kernel.org) in about a week. |

linux-6.17-rc1 is out. I confirm that the requested patch is not there yet. There was a "gentle ping" by Kyle Manna on the lkml today. |

I just checked the source code of linux-6.17.0-0.rc7. The patch was not there. Since this is the last -rc release, chances are that it is not in the final release of 6.17. |

linux-6.17.0 final is out. As I suspected, it did not have the patch. Hope it will make it into 6.18. The first -rc will be released in 2 weeks. |
