| Description | We still use these controllers a lot, and the lack of 8.x support for it (and lack of knowledge on how to create one of these ourselves!) is blocking our AlmaLinux 8 aspirations. Thanks in advance! | ||||

Hi toracat, yes it is for 8.8. We probably won't be on 8.9 for a bit after it's released just in case. |

I have build the following packages for RHEL 8.9 and released them to the el8 testing repository: kmod-sym53c8xx-0.0-1.el8_9.elrepo.src.rpm kmod-sym53c8xx-0.0-1.el8_9.elrepo.x86_64.rpm Please note these are built for el8.9 and will likely not be backward compatible with earlier releases. I would appreciate feedback if you can confirm these are working as expected once you have had the chance to test. I will make a Driver Update Disk image (DUD) shortly and upload here: https://elrepo.org/linux/dud/el8/x86_64/ Thanks |

Thanks toracat and pperry! It's thanksgiving long weekend where these controllers get used, but in the meantime I'll download the 8.9 iso and get that added to our kickstart servers in preparation. |
