| Description | After installing on VMware Workstation and another cloud instance the 6.2.3-1.el8.elrepo.x86_64 on Red Hat Enterprise 8.7 this happens on Reboot and Poweroff: dracut Warning: Killing all remaining processes If freezes here until a hard poweroff is initiated. Then it powers back on normally. | ||||

I tested this using a vbox guest running EL8.7. With kernel-ml-6.2.3-1.el8.elrepo, reboot or shutdown went through with no problem. So I cannot reproduce the issue. |

I will try virtual box, but on the Hostwinds Cloud solution and VMware Workstation 17.0.1 it is failing. |

Also what was the last kernel-ml version that did not show this issue? Did 6.2.2 work? |

the last one that worked for me was 6.2.1 and I loaded in that Kernel and it reboots and powers off fine. |

I just installed Virtual Box 7 and installed a fresh copy of RHEL 8.7 and Updated to latest security patches and Kernel 4.18.0-425.13.1.el8_7.x86_64 then install all the elrepo: kernel-ml-6.2.3-1.el8.elrepo.x86_64.rpm kernel-ml-core-6.2.3-1.el8.elrepo.x86_64.rpm kernel-ml-modules-6.2.3-1.el8.elrepo.x86_64.rpm kernel-ml-devel-6.2.3-1.el8.elrepo.x86_64.rpm kernel-ml-headers-6.2.3-1.el8.elrepo.x86_64.rpm kernel-ml-tools-6.2.3-1.el8.elrepo.x86_64 If you noticed from the Screenshot that the "dracut Warning: Killing all remaining processes" still shows: |

kernel-ml 6.2.5 will be released shortly. Can you give it a try? |

I also ran a test on a KVM guest running kernel-ml-6.2.3. No problem there. |

Rebooting continues to work with kernel-ml-6.2.5. |

After installing kernel-ml-6.2.5 and hard poweroff and booting into 6.2.5, the Reboot and power off RHEL 8.7 is working hosted on VMware, VirtualBox and Hostwinds |
