| Description | I see that the megaraid_sas kmod package is available for RHEL 8.6 and below but not 8.7. Would y'all kindly build the 8.7 package and include it in the repository? Many thanks!! | ||||

We did not rebuild the kmod-megaraid_sas package for el8.7 because 07.719.03.00-1.el8_6.elrepo is supposed to work on el8.7. If you find this is not the case, please let us know. |

Hello, thanks for the reply! I did try to install the 8.6 kmod-megaraid_sas package and it did install, but after I installed it, the system did not seem to recognize any of my disks on our PERC 6/E, which uses the megaraid_sas driver. Even after a reboot. I confirmed that via the Device ID matchup at: https://elrepo.org/tiki/DeviceIDs I tried using the kernel-ml kernel and that did make it work, I could see my disks then. However that breaks other kernel related modules I need to use (like GPFS modules). If I can get a kmod version working with a stock 8.7 RHEL kernel I'll be golden. Thanks again for the help! |

I've updated the kmod-megaraid-sas package for el8.7 and released to the testing repository. Updated packages should be available on our mirror sites shortly. Please update and test with: yum --enablerepo=elrepo-testing update kmod-megaraid-sas reboot and report back if it's working for you using the latest el8.7 kernel (note this package may not work with older kernels) Thanks |

Upgrade went fine to 8_7 version, I rebooted, and it worked like a charm. Case closed. Thanks for the effort! |
