| Description | This is a message on EL 7 machines with yum-cron. --- Could not retrieve mirrorlist http://mirrors.elrepo.org/mirrors-elrepo.el7 error was 12: Timeout on http://mirrors.elrepo.org/mirrors-elrepo.el7: (28, 'Connection timed out after 30000 milliseconds') --- Other EL 8 and EL 9 machines with dnf-automatic does not show this error. This has been happening for past 2 months. Locations: India, Germany, Finland. Kindly check. | ||||

Thank you for the report. Unfortunately we have been experiencing ongoing DDoS attacks against our infrastructure for some time now, and as a result connections may be intermittent or disrupted at times. Often when you try again a connection may be made. As a workaround, you can comment out the mirrorlist line in /etc/yum.repos.d/elrepo.repo and update baseurl to point to a local mirror of your choosing, which will eliminate your reliance on our infrastructure and resolve the issue for you. We apologise for the inconvenience caused. |
