| Summary | 0001297: please update dd-megaraid_sas for el9 | ||||
| Description | On AlmalInux 9.1, d-megaraid_sas-07.719.03.00-1.el9_0.elrepo.iso, which is built against EL9.0, does not work. Manually inserting kmod-megaraid_sas-07.719.03.00-2.el9_1 works - the driver is loaded properly and the devices on the raid array are seen. It would be nice if it were updates as it does not seem possible to use a kmod file directly as a driver update disk. | ||||
| Steps To Reproduce | Fails: - pass the dd-megaraid_sas-07.719.03.00-1.el9_0.elrepo.iso to anaconda in kickstart - the following is shown on dud fetching and installation time: modprobe: ERROR could not insert 'megaraid_sas': Exec format error megaraid_sas: disagrees about version of symbol module_layout Tested to not work on a Dell R410 with a PERC 6/i. | ||||

Tested to work with a Dell R410, PERC 6/i with software 6.3.3. Updated DUD works at kickstart time, the kmod-megaraid_sas gets included in the initrd image, server boots properly upon restart. |
