| Description | When updating my CentOS Stream 8 setup, I found myself without wireguard support. In elrepo there is only package kmod-wireguard-1.0.20210606-1.el8_4.elrepo.x86_64 that contains: /lib/modules/4.18.0-305.el8.x86_64 /lib/modules/4.18.0-305.el8.x86_64/extra /lib/modules/4.18.0-305.el8.x86_64/extra/wireguard /lib/modules/4.18.0-305.el8.x86_64/extra/wireguard/wireguard.ko /usr/share/doc/kmod-wireguard-1.0.20210606 /usr/share/doc/kmod-wireguard-1.0.20210606/GPL-v2.0.txt /usr/share/doc/kmod-wireguard-1.0.20210606/greylist.txt CentOS Stream 8 currently ships kernel-4.18.0-348.el8.x86_64 | ||||

ELRepo kmod packages are not compatible with CentOS Stream kernels as these kernels are not kABI compatible with RHEL You have two choices: 1. You can install the latest CentOS 8.4 (non-Stream) kernel (4.18.0-305.x.y) which are available in the Stream repository 2. You can contact the CentOS kmods SIG ( https://wiki.centos.org/SpecialInterestGroup/Kmods ) and request a kmod package for CentOS Stream |
