| Description | CentOS 8 removed driver support for Mellanox ConnectX generation 1 and 2 10Gb cards. Confirmed working on CentOS 7. I'm requesting an El Repo kmod as a long-term fix. Although its reported that generation 2 support is available via kernel-plus (see https://bugs.centos.org/view.php?id=16726) gen 1 has zero support. Preferably there would be kmods for both gen 1 and 2. These cards offer cheap 10Gb functionality for under $50 which is a great for education and other cash-strapped organizations. Please try kmod-mlx4 as I believe this is the driver that supports these devices. There is a version for el8.1 in the main repo: https://elrepo.org/linux/elrepo/el8/x86_64/RPMS/kmod-mlx4-4.0-2.el8_1.elrepo.x86_64.rpm and a version for el8.2 in the testing repo: https://elrepo.org/linux/testing/el8/x86_64/RPMS/kmod-mlx4-4.0-3.el8_2.elrepo.x86_64.rpm Please let us know if this driver works for you.
