Summary | 0000694: Dependency issue for kmod-drbd84 and CentOS 7.2
Description | When installing kmod-drbd84 on CentOS 7.2, there is a dependency problem where kmod-drbd84 installation requires a kernel which is not yet available on CentOS 7.2 # yum install kmod-drbd84--enablerepo=elrepo Error: Package: kmod-drbd84-8.4.8-1_2.el7.elrepo.x86_64 (elrepo) Requires: kernel >= 3.10.0-514.el7 The official repo of CentOS doesn't provide a kernel after kernel-3.10.0-327 That behavior started about a week ago. Will we have to wait for the new kernel to be released or is there plans to provide a version that keeps compatibility with CenOS 7.2 until 7.3 is released. Thanks !

Hi, You will have to wait for CentOS to release 7.3 My understanding is that they have released 7.3 packages to their CR repository. For example, see here: http://mirrors.coreix.net/centos/7/cr/x86_64/Packages/ where you will find the 7.3 packages available for testing. |

Actually those packages in the CentOS CR repo are not for testing but rather their official release. |
