| Description | The r8168 module does not seem to work with the kernel 3.10.0-693 in EL 7.4. The KABI system doesn't seem to pick it up for this Kernel. I've tried reinstalling the package, and also running the weak-modules command. The latter removes the symlinks to the module if I try inserting them manually. Admittedly, I'm not 100% up on how KABI works, but it's always worked as expected during previous kernel updates. Lack of networking is naturally a fairly big issue, so a fix, or tips on what I'm doing wrong, would be appreciated! | ||||

Acknowledged. The driver probably needs rebuilding against the el7.4 kernel. I'll do that now for you and post back shortly once we have packages available for you to test. |

I've built an updated driver for you and released it to the elrepo testing repository. It should show up on the mirrors shortly: kmod-r8168-8.045.08-1.el7_4.elrepo.x86_64.rpm http://elrepo.org/linux/testing/el7/x86_64/RPMS/ Please could you test and confirm the package works for you. Thanks |
