| Description | I recently submitted a patch that fixes compilation errors against the new 7.2 kernel headers of various network cards. Unfortunately, until the packages are rebuilt, it is not possible to build a new LiveImage (with lorax) as the existing packages require the presence of the older 7.0 System.map-3.10.0-123* file. | ||||
| Additional Information | Lorax has some annoying dependancies when making a respin, especially when you're trying to embed additional drivers. Specifically, it's running in a very unusual chroot-ish environment that makes it somewhat complex (and extremely poorly documented.. sigh) to embed non-standard drivers. Even though the drivers work perfectly, the soft-linking of the modules needs the original System.map it was built against to exist, which isn't available in a 7.2 repo, and it fails. I realise this is an *extremely* tiny edge case, and it will only effect someone (like myself) who is trying to embed the drivers into a respin. I have, in fact, rebuilt my own RPMs, which solves this problem, but it's not fair to everyone else if I don't report this 8-) | ||||

Done, and just pushed to main elrepo repository.
