| Description | I successfully use the R8125 driver under CentOS 7 and was looking to update that system to Rocky Linux 8 - seems this driver is not built for 8 or am I missing it? Also it appears the driver was updated to 9.006.04 on 2021/08/19 (current available in elrepo is 9.005.01). Thanks. | ||||

Acknowledged. As you've filed this bug under el7, I've updated the title to reflect updating the el7 driver, as requested. I'll look at updating that now for you, and post back once available. I'll probably release it to the testing repository for you to test and then promote to the main repo once you confirm everything is working as expected. Please may I request you open a new RFE on EL8 to request the R8125 driver for EL8, so we can respond to, and track, that request separately there. Thanks |

When you open the new request for EL8, please can you include the device ID pairing (available from running 'lspci -nn'). You can get this from a running el7 installation if easier. |

The following package has been built for el7 and released to the testing repository. It should be available on mirror sites shortly. kmod-r8125-9.006.04-1.el7_9.elrepo.x86_64.rpm Please update with: yum --enablerepo=elrepo-testing update kmod-r8125 and reboot to load the new driver. If you could report back once you are confident the driver is working as expected for you, I'll move it to the main repository Thanks |

It's been a week and I have not had any issues. I even think there was an increase in performance so it seems all good to me. |
