Summary | 0001078: Request kmod-r8125 Driver Update
Description | I'm experiencing a driver lockup using a 01:00.0 Ethernet controller: Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. RTL8125 2.5GbE Controller card with the current driver. There's a newer driver that was released at the beginning of February which may help the situation. I'd be willing to test an updated release.
Steps To Reproduce | Card is connected to an XFinity XB7 1.2Gb cable modem. Lockups occur after a random amount of uptime and traffic. After a lockup occurs, performance degrades until the system is rebooted.

The current version seems to be r8125-9.005.01. We will work on this. |

Hi, I've updated the package to the latest upstream release and also rebuilt against the RHEL 7.9 series kernel. Updated packages have been released and are currently syncing to our mirrors, so should be available shortly: kmod-r8125-9.005.01-1.el7_9.elrepo.x86_64.rpm Please would you test and let us know how they work for you. Thanks. |
|
I wanted to give it some time before I commented. I've been running it for almost three days now with no lockups and good performance. Thanks for the quick response. |
|
Brilliant - thanks for the feedback. Fingers crossed this has done the job for you. I'll close as fixed, but please do not hesitate to reopen or file a new bug if you experience issues. Phil |
