xorg-x11-drv-intel

Updated versions of the xorg-x11-drv-intel and libdrm packages, along with associated development and build dependency packages, have been released to the elrepo-extras repo. It should be noted that, when installed, they will overwrite the corresponding packages in the EL6 distribution. These packages may be used with the corresponding Mesa 3D and VAAPI GPU driver and library packages.

These packages are currently available in the elrepo-extras repository. Please report any problems via the bug tracker.

A CentOS forum user reports having to add nomodeset to the kernel boot parameters to avoid a white screen.

An update as of Nov 2014: the xorg-x11-drv-intel package has been updated for EL 6.6. Other packages may be obsolete.
