Summary | 0000980: BCM4401-B0 100Base-TX [14e4:170c] for Centos7
Description | Hello, Following this thread https://bugs.centos.org/view.php?id=16840, would it be possible to add support for this network card in the kmod-tg3 package for centos7? Looking at the list of the devices supported this one is not included (though similar ones are). If this is already included or you think it may work due to similar, how can this be downloaded manually (target os doesn't have network). I can't find it manually for el7 (I see it in el6, but understandably, install fails). Thanks a lot

As noted in the quoted CentOS bug entry, the network card with device ID pairing [14e4:170c] uses the b44 driver. This driver is natively supported by the CentOS-7 kernel. You should not need anything extra. |

I confirm that /usr/lib/modules/3.10.0-1062.el7.x86_64/kernel/drivers/net/ethernet/broadcom/b44.ko.xz is in my system.. and it's loaded.. so I have another issue. thanks. |
