Summary0000872: Would you be able to make a "National Semiconductor Corporation DP83065 [Saturn]" module and rpm?
DescriptionHello,

I'm computing like it's 1999, well, 2005 maybe. I'd like to use a "Ethernet controller: National Semiconductor Corporation DP83065 [Saturn] 10/100/1000 Ethernet Controller (rev 30)" in a CentOS 7 system. Here's some more detail about the card:

[root@dell ~]# lspci -v | grep -A4 Nation
04:00.0 Ethernet controller: National Semiconductor Corporation DP83065 [Saturn] 10/100/1000 Ethernet Controller (rev 30)
Flags: bus master, 66MHz, slow devsel, latency 64, IRQ 11
    Memory at f3a00000 (32-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=2M]
Expansion ROM at f3e00000 [disabled] [size=1M]

04:01.0 Ethernet controller: National Semiconductor Corporation DP83065 [Saturn] 10/100/1000 Ethernet Controller (rev 30)
Flags: bus master, 66MHz, slow devsel, latency 64, IRQ 10
    Memory at f3c00000 (32-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=2M]
    Expansion ROM at <ignored> [disabled]

05:02.0 Ethernet controller: National Semiconductor Corporation DP83065 [Saturn] 10/100/1000 Ethernet Controller (rev 30)
Flags: bus master, 66MHz, slow devsel, latency 64, IRQ 3
    Memory at f3600000 (32-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=2M]
Expansion ROM at f3500000 [disabled] [size=1M]

05:03.0 Ethernet controller: National Semiconductor Corporation DP83065 [Saturn] 10/100/1000 Ethernet Controller (rev 30)
Flags: bus master, 66MHz, slow devsel, latency 64, IRQ 9
    Memory at f3800000 (32-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=2M]
    Expansion ROM at <ignored> [disabled]

[root@dell ~]# lspci -n | egrep "04:00.0|04:01.0|05:02.0|05:03.0"
04:00.0 0200: 100b:0035 (rev 30)
04:01.0 0200: 100b:0035 (rev 30)
05:02.0 0200: 100b:0035 (rev 30)
05:03.0 0200: 100b:0035 (rev 30)
[root@dell ~]#

Thanks for looking it over. Please let me know if you need more information.

Also, please pass on to the kernel team that they have saved a Thinkpad x230: with the standard kernels it would panic and lock up multiple times per day, with your ml kernel it's steady up, rock solid! Thanks!

The driver seems to be cassini:

alias: pci:v0000100Bd00000035sv*sd*bc*sc*i*
alias: pci:v0000108Ed0000ABBAsv*sd*bc*sc*i*

We already have the RHEL7 driver for this device available in elrepo:

yum install kmod-cassini

and you should be good to go.

Hope that helps.

Hello, indeed, yes I am. I swear I looked, maybe too much blood in the caffeine stream.

Thank you, kind internet sir or madam! I don't see a tick-box for to say what the ticket is resolved, but it certainly is.

May all your wives be strong, all your husbands good looking, and all your children above average. All your tipple duty-free too!
