Hello toracat I'm sorry but I disagree its a support ticket, like the answer in netmap issue #447 ( https://github.com/luigirizzo/netmap/issues/447#issuecomment-363840351 ) Can you please check why 4.15 kernel does not have objtool? This issue did not happened in 4.14.13-1.el7.elrepo.x86_64 header/devel packages. Thanks! Leonardo Amaral. |
Sorry about that. objtool is actually built in kernel-ml 4.15. However it is not being packaged into the -devel package. I'm sure burakkucat will take care of it. |
A kernel package set has been built and is available for you to download from the https://elrepo.org/people/ajb/devel/kernel-testing/el7/ directory. Please test and report back if it allows your external module(s) to be built. If a successful result is obtained, the modification to the specification file will be applied at the next build of the kernel-lt and kernel-ml package sets. |
It works and no error |
Worked here too @burakkucat ! Thanks for the fix! |
Thank you, both, for your reports confirming success. As a consequence the adjustment to the specification file will be deployed with the next build of the kernel-{lt|ml} package sets for EL7. Now closing as "resolved/fixed". |
