Summary | 0000793: kmod-xpad not working for RHEL 7.4
Description | kmod-xpad-0.0.6-6.el7.4 not working for RHEL 7.4 on kernel 3.10.0-693.2.2.el7.x86_64 When I plug in an xbox controller, there is nothing attached to /dev/input/js0. If I plug in a non-xbox brand joystick, it is correctly recognized as /dev/input/js0 and data is being sent through the connection.
Additional Information | In this bug report: https://elrepo.org/bugs/bug_view_advanced_page.php?bug_id=697 the kmod-xpad was fixed for RHEL 7.3 In this bug report: https://elrepo.org/bugs/view.php?id=789&nbn=3 the current version of kmod-xpad we are using (kmod-xpad-0.0.6-6.el7.4) was made available in order to be available for CentOS 7.4

Thanks for the report. Can you confirm if your xbox controller was working previously on a 7.3 kernel with the previous kmod-xpad driver? Could you also please show the device ID information for your devices (both working and non-working) so I can check they are supported by the current driver code. Thanks |
