| Summary | 0000071: RFE -- Please update the atl1e kmod package. | ||||||
| Description |
Here follows the body of an e-mail message from Gena Makhomed -- elrepo includes kmod-atl1e version 1.0.0.10 http://partner.atheros.com/Drivers.aspx [^] site includes newer version of AR81Family Linux Driver: AR81Family-Linux-v1.0.1.9.tar.gz with old kmod-atl1e driver PXE install of Centos hung after "getting IP address of eth0" message. at least at Acer emachines G630G notebook. with new 1.0.1.9 driver - PXE install works fine, and CentOS installed and work without any problems. looks like new version of atl1e driver is less buggy. I make updated version of atl1e-kmod src.rpm with two small patches for seamless rpm build. feel free to use my patches for updating elrepo |
