Summary 0000043: warning from lm_sensors
Description During shutdown, lm_sensors (the elrepo version, used together with kmod-coretemp and kmod-it87) gives a warning of this kind
"Trying to free nonexistent resource <0000000000000295-0000000000000296>"
This has been discussed in the RedHat bug tracker a LONG time ago
(https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=446061), [^] and new versions of hwmon software are apparently scheduled for inclusion in RHEL 5.5 (!).
However, that thread refers to a "CentOS patch" which resolves this issue - although I am a bit confused about which version this may be...

Anyway, if there is a patch to avoid this warning, maybe it could be included in the elrepo version of these packages ;)

This warning relates to the it87 module. From what I can tell it's harmless.

The patch which "resolves" the issue is an older revision of the code and does not include support for many later devices. Given the warning seems harmless enough, we opted for greater hardware support.

Thanks for reporting though, and if you should manage to find a patch that fixes the current code base, please don't hesitate to submit it.
