DescriptionHello,

I am having an issue with the CentOS 8 install where my SATA drives are not being seen by the system.

I researched the problem to the best of my ability and then posted an information request on the
forums.centos.org site – where they acknowledged my controller was no longer supported, and
suggested I visit here and request for you to make a build.

The hardware :

I know - it's OLD Hardware (but it tries it's best) :

                        AMD Athlon X2 based system.
            Southbridge: nVIDIA® nForce 430

LSPCI shows :

00:0e.0 IDE interface: NVIDIA Corporation MCP51 Serial ATA Controller (rev a1)
00:0f.0 IDE interface: NVIDIA Corporation MCP51 Serial ATA Controller (rev a1)

Replacing the hardware is not in the budget for the foreseeable future, so your assistance
would be greatly appreciated.

 Here are the lines for your SATA device:

Looking at our DeviceID page, it is supported by the sata_nv driver:

We have both the kmod-sata_nv package and its DUD image that is needed for the installation, for EL8.
