| Description | After updating to kernel-ml 5.8.8, some systemctl operations give errors, for example "systemctl show firewalld". I doubt this can really be fixed in the kernel-ml package. The real fix is to backport the fix to the distro systemd package. But since it breaks some fairly basic functionality in the system it might be relevant to note it here anyway. | ||||

Thanks for the report. As you say, not something we can fix and unfortunately running a newer kernel always has the risk of breaking compatibility with some distro userland components, but definitely worth documenting. If anyone has an easy fix or workaround, please feel free to share. |

Thank you for the report and the additional information. In terms of the kernel-ml package set, I am setting the resolution as "not fixable" and the status to "acknowledged". |
